My son was diagnosed with autism...
My son was diagnosed with autism at 3. We used many different intervention methods but when it came to learning to read, we found that the Reading Blocks method was easy to use and we could to do the program ourselves at home. When I had to go out of town for work, my older daughter took up the instruction until I came home. All we had to do was follow along the program and repeat any lessons if he had difficulty with it. When he started school we gave his teacher a copy of the program and she used it as well.
My son read at grade level from the time he started school and I believe this was because we were able to do this program at home before he went to school. The program is so easy to use that anyone can do it. I highly recommend!
